Pilgrimages and Conventions

Charlie & Connie Abalos, BNA Special Liaison & Area Coordinator – East Coast

One very important activity of the KFI- M.E. Ministry is to encourage pilgrimage to holy sites in order to help Christians grow spiritually and grow closer to Christ, the Blessed Mother, and the saints. During these travels, pilgrims learn about the life of the saint in whose honor the holy site is dedicated.  They then become role models for the pilgrims, as well as intercessors for their many petitions.  Additionally, indulgences are gained by those who go on a pilgrimage.

The annual pilgrimage to the Birhen ng Antipolo (Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage) is attended by a large membership of the KFI-M.E. Ministry community (for details, see Marian Affairs section).

Another annual pilgrimage participated in by a large number of KFI members is the pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. There are many more pilgrimages which are organized by various prayer groups and held throughout the year, including trips to the Holy Land and Rome.
