Life in the Spirit Seminar (LSS) Ministry

James & Maguy Sadhoo, Head Servants, LSS Ministry

Life in the Spirit Seminars (LSS) are held in various parishes and conducted by the KFI  LSS Ministry. These seminars aim to renew the faith and spiritual life of lukewarm , fallen-away, and non-practicing Catholics by means of faith-sharing, witnessing,  and talks given mostly by lay people who have responded to the mandate given by the risen Christ to spread the Gospel to the ends to the earth. These seminars also hope to introduce participants to a life lived in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.   Whereas most Life in the Spirit Seminars are generally held for seven consecutive weeks in most places, our seminars are held only once during a two-day weekend, usually from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon. The standard topics are discussed, including God’s Love, Salvation, New Life, Receiving God’s Gift, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Growth, and Transformation. The sacrament of Reconciliation is given on Saturday evening which includes a penitential rite and healing prayers in front of the Blessed Sacrament  which is exposed for adoration throughout the duration of the seminar. The LSS culminates in the celebration of Holy  Mass on Sunday afternoon. Bibles are usually given to those who have completed the two-day seminar. Praise and worship songs are rendered by one of several groups of the Music Ministry.

In addition to Life in the Spirit Seminars, the LSS Ministry also holds  workshops to prepare the parishes and prayer groups who are planning an LSS, as well as growth seminars, bible studies, and retreats.

The next scheduled Life in the Spirit Seminar will be announced on a later date.
